The winner of HSC’s first “Craig the Eagle Trophy” was earned by Mike Papantonio for expressing the CRAIGs (compassion, respect, action, integrity, greatness), as well as being a fantastic member of the school’s society. This was accomplished by attending every Eagle Time and assisting students with their work even if they weren’t in his class. He also substituted for other teachers on multiple occasions.

From the students’ perspective, Mike deserves this award because his class is genuinely fun to be in. This is because of the strange stories he tells and the out of place Nacho Libre quotes. It makes the class reliable, and entertaining, while we are still learning. If anyone was going to be the first to receive this award, I can easily see why Mike was chosen.
